My DailyEdgePrivacy Policy
My DailyEdge is a personal portfolio tracker. This page explains what it stores about you, where, and why. The short version: it keeps what you enter so you can see it on all your devices, it does not sell or share your data for advertising, and you can ask for everything to be deleted.
What is stored
- Your account. Your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the name and profile picture Google shares. We never see or store your Google password.
- What you enter. Holdings, trades, cash, tasks, notes, your watchlist, price alerts, portfolio snapshots and profile preferences such as currency, time zone and the tax rates you set.
- Notification settings. Which alerts you want and how, and, if you allow notifications on a device, the technical address the browser gives us for sending them.
- Technical logs. The web server keeps standard access logs (such as IP address and time of request), and the app reports its own errors (the page address and browser type) so they can be fixed.
Where it is stored
- Your account and data are stored with Supabase (database and sign-in), in the United States. Row-level security in the database means each account can only ever read its own data.
- The website itself is hosted by GoDaddy in the United States.
- Sign-in with Google is handled by Google.
Who else sees anything
To show prices and news, the app asks market-data providers (such as Yahoo Finance and Alpha Vantage) for the ticker symbols you hold or watch. Those requests come from our server and do not include your name, email or holdings amounts. Push notifications travel through your browser's push service (for example Google or Apple). Nothing is sold, and there are no advertising or analytics trackers.
Your browser
The app keeps your sign-in and a copy of your data in your browser's local storage, so it opens quickly and keeps working briefly offline. There are no advertising cookies. Signing out clears this copy.
How long it is kept, and deleting it
Your data is kept while you have an account. To have your account and all of its data deleted, email the address below; it will be done within 30 days. Short-lived backups held by our providers expire on their own schedule after that.
Security
Traffic is encrypted (HTTPS), secrets stay on the server, and database rules restrict every account to its own rows. No system is perfectly secure; if something ever goes wrong that affects your data, you will be told.
Children
My DailyEdge is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date, and you will be told in the app about anything significant.
